What is the future of the Wikimedia Foundation?

I am going to take this to be a narrowly-defined inquiry about the *structure* of the Foundation, akin to the current Foundation-L discussion about chapters, self-organization and so forth. Keeping it simple is complicated. ;-) --BradPatrick 14:37, 8 May 2008 (UTC)

Will it turn into a "black box" arms length from the community much like some for profit wiki providers who are not affiliated with the WMF.

Or will failure for the Foundation to gain the trust of enough volunteers lead to the communities attempt to "control or eliminate the Foundation" -- & destroy the Wikimedia movement? -- Llywrch 20:22, 3 June 2008 (UTC)
